Preparation

  • Windows 10 / 11, 64-bit — macOS and Linux not yet supported
  • MetaTrader 5 installed or a Binance Futures account
  • Google Chrome (or Microsoft Edge) — signed in to your TradingView account
  • A TradingView Bot license key — buy it on the pricing page. Accounts opened under the TradingAuto IB, and demo accounts, use the free vipmember member key.
  • A machine that stays on — when the app is closed the bots stop reading signals; for 24/7 use a VPS

Download and run the installer

Download TradingViewAuto-setup.exe, run it and click Next to the end. No Administrator rights needed. It installs to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\TradingAutoTV by default, with a Start Menu shortcut.

The GitHub release page: the TradingViewAuto-…-setup.exe file is the installer.

Windows says "Windows protected your PC"? Click More info, then Run anyway. The installer is not digitally signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen shows this warning.

The app data (accounts, bots, logs) lives in the data folder next to the program; uninstalling keeps that folder.

The app checks for new versions and updates with a signed package, rolling back by itself if the update fails. The interface is in Vietnamese and English; the Guide section inside the app has every step below.

Add a license key

  1. Open License keys, click + Add key and paste the key. No MT5 account is needed yet: the app reads the expiry, name and where the key is running right away.
  2. Click Assign to account… on the key card to grant trading permission to one account. Change or unassign it any time.
  3. No key yet? Click Buy key in the app, or buy one on the website pricing page.
License keys: the key card shows the expiry, the name and the Assign to account… button (demo data).

One key per account, running in one place. The key is shared with the TradingView EA and MT5 Manager. If the key is running elsewhere the app asks before taking it over, and the other place is disabled. The key session is checked every 5 minutes.

Without a key you can still add accounts, create bots, run WATCH ONLY and use Orders & tools — you just cannot send new orders.

Open TradingView for the app to read

  1. In the app's TradingView section click "Open Google Chrome". The app opens its own Chrome window (its own profile, your everyday Chrome is not touched) with the bots' layouts already open, one window per layout.
  2. The first time, sign in to TradingView in that window; the app remembers it. The app never receives or stores your TradingView password.
TradingView section: the signed-in TradingView account and the bots' layouts, each with a + Bot from this layout button.

One window per layout, not minimized. Keep the app's Chrome window open while bots run. If Chrome is closed or hangs, bots pause new orders (open orders keep their SL / TP at the broker); click "Open Google Chrome" again and they resume, no need to sign in again.

Strategies / indicators the bot watches must be visible on the chart: TradingView does not calculate hidden indicators, so they give no signals.

Add a trading account

MT5 account

  1. MT5 accounts → + Add account: pick the source MT5 installation, enter the server, account number, main password (not investor) and a display name.
  2. The app copies its own clean terminal (nobody's EAs, no saved passwords), installs the executor EA and logs in by itself. MT5 Manager terminals and terminals you have open are not touched.
  3. Wait for the account card to show READY: correct account + server, online for 60 seconds, Algo Trading on, connected to the broker server.
Add an MT5 account: source installation, server, account number, main password, display name.

Broker server not listed? If you have never logged in to that broker on this machine, open your MT5, go to File → Open an Account, type the broker name, pick the server, choose Connect with an existing trade account and log in once. The server then appears in the app.

The password stays on the machine (127.0.0.1), is encrypted by Windows as soon as it arrives, is never shown again and never logged.

Binance USDⓈ-M Futures

  • Add it with an API key + secret, on testnet or a real account.
  • Grant Futures trading permission only. The app refuses keys with withdrawal permission.
  • SL / TP are placed on the exchange itself and stay even when the app is off.
Add a Binance Futures account: choose testnet / live, paste the API key and Secret key.

Create a bot

The bot wizard has 5 steps:

  1. Sources — pick the layout, chart, account and trading symbol. The app suggests the symbol matching the chart (e.g. XAUUSD ↔ GOLD).
  2. Condition — for each action (OPEN BUY, OPEN SELL, CLOSE BUY, CLOSE SELL) choose the trigger objects: strategy orders, shapes, labels… The app proposes them by name (Long → open BUY, Short Exit → close SELL). You can require ANY / ALL / AT LEAST k conditions within some bars, and filter by other indicators.
  3. Order rules — reverse or keep the old order, pyramiding, SL / TP (preset or from chart objects), several TP levels closed by %, trailing, break-even after TP1, skip when price has already run too far.
  4. Capital — fixed lot or risk based (USD / %), lot cap, stop when the loss / profit reaches a % of equity.
  5. Review — read everything again and save. A new bot always starts in WATCH ONLY.
Chart prices can differ from broker prices. TradingView and the broker use different price feeds. In that case set SL / TP by order distance, not by chart price.

Dry run, then trade

  1. Click ▶ Run on the bot screen. In WATCH ONLY the bot reads the chart and writes "DRY RUN — would do" to the log: orders are checked but not sent.
  2. Watch a few signals in the log: right object, right direction, right SL / TP.
  3. Click Switch to TRADING…. The account needs a GRANTED key and must be READY. On a real account the app asks you to type the account number again, and the top bar turns red while a bot trades a real account.
Bot screen in WATCH ONLY: the log lists the orders it "would" place, nothing is sent to the broker.

A bot that was running when the app closed restarts by itself when the app opens again (the Restart automatically when the app reopens box, on by default). It still checks everything before opening orders: the right account, the layout matching the configured version, a GRANTED key. With the box off the bot comes back as AWAITING CONFIRMATION until you click ▶ Continue.

Safety and emergency stop

  • ■ STOP NEW ORDERS (top bar): every bot stops opening new orders immediately; open orders are still managed (SL / TP, trailing, signal closes).
  • SL / TP are sent with the order when it opens: the broker closes it when price hits, even if the app is off.
  • When something is wrong (key lost, account not ready, WAITING FOR LAYOUT, capital limit hit) the bot only refuses new orders; closes, reversals, SL / TP, trailing and break-even keep working.
  • Each bot has its own magic number: it only manages its own orders, never manual orders or other EAs' orders.
  • The app does not predict the market and does not guarantee profit — bots follow exactly the signals and rules you set.
STOP NEW ORDERS is on: red bar at the top, no bot opens new orders.

Orders & tools, Log

The Orders & tools button on an account card opens every open order (including manual and other EAs' orders): quick select by profit / loss / no SL / symbol / magic; close all, close part by %, set SL / TP on many orders at once. Dry run is on by default; turn it off and the app asks for confirmation before sending for real. No license key needed.

The Log section merges events from every bot, account and key, newest first, by level ERROR / ORDER / SIGNAL / WARNING / INFO. Filter by source, bot, level and text, and download exactly the filtered rows as CSV.

Troubleshooting

Bot WAITING FOR LAYOUT
The layout is in a background tab / minimized window, the strategy is hidden, or the layout differs from the configured version. Put the layout back and the bot resumes, or click Edit to adopt the current layout.
"Not allowed to trade"
Check the trading-permission line on the account card: no key, key not GRANTED, account not READY (online under 60 seconds, Algo Trading off, investor password), or STOP NEW ORDERS is on.
Key TAKEN OVER
The key was just activated elsewhere. The app does not take it back by itself; click Use the key on this machine… to run it here.
TradingView not found
The app's Chrome window is not open, was closed, or is not signed in to TradingView. Click "Open Google Chrome" in the app's TradingView section.
SL / TP off compared to the chart
Chart and broker use different price feeds: switch SL / TP to by order distance in the bot's Order rules step.
